A Rune Reading Between the Years

Greetings from Indiana,

Earlier this month, I had the honor and privilege to join the Folk in celebrating Yule in the Ozarks. I have never had a Yule quite like it as it really showed who was a trooper. In the frigid cold, we bonded together over fire, frith, and feasts.

I arrived late Wednesday and was there until Friday, as I had to get back home for family events. The time I spent there was great. Our hosts were great, the food was great as well as the company. There were just as many old faces as there were new. Seeing new families always warms my soul.

I opened the event with a Welcoming of the Gods Blót, calling upon Heimdall to open the Bifrost Bridge for the gods and ancestors to descend upon us. Before the blót, I consulted the runes for the coming year of Raven Folk United 2026 and pulled Sól-Úr-Ár.

Sól means that we have the glory of the Gods and ancestors shining upon us.

Úr means that the fates are molding us and putting great things for us into motion…

Ár meaning victory for the noble folk who have earned it.

RFU has done well over the last few years and will continue to do so. The sacrifice of the goat during the Odin Blót was confirmed as favorable. Which with all things considered confirms the rune reading, our intentions, and a bright future for us.
